Seriously. I am pretty upset and not because I wasn't able to get to Virginia for a certain camping trip... To all those who are there having fun now I HATE you. I am sad because a model and photographer that I admire, respect, and actually worship a bit is leaving dA.

No this is not one of those "I'm leaving and never coming back" attention posts that some people do four or five times a year.. This woman has deleted all of her wonderful deviations, contact info, links, everything. To read her blog post on the subject visit her dA page [link]

Sadly I completely understand her reasoning even though I wish I didn't. There are some scary people on the Internet which is why I try so hard to be private. Yes there are TONS of fantastic people, some probably reading this right now, out there but for every single one of you there are twenty freaks roaming around without supervision. The model I am lamenting over was very open about her life (I felt) and in return for this trust I feel as though some people virtually spit in her face. Maybe I am being dramatic but that is my slightly biased opinion.

Worst, when she (and other models male and female) complained there were many with the attitude that she should deal with it because that is what she got for modeling nude on the Internet. Hell I had someone that I used to respect and adore recently tell me that my being stalked was "what I got for being in the public eye". Nice people online no? I could go off on how that pig headed attitude has led to a lot of tragedies that started online and ended up in a hospital or morgue but instead I'll save that rant for another day.

I know you can't change people. All you can do is change the way you respond to people but I still think it is a shame that we (don't laugh) can't all get along and treat each other with respect and decency. I sometimes hate that I can't be open with some of the great people I've met on dA and other sites/forums. I can't stand having to keep some of (in my opinion) best work off of dA and the Internet in general because I don't want to deal with the B.S. but I know I have to stick to my decision in order live in peace and relative safety.
